It’s hard to believe it’s nearly nine years since Eddi’s classic Sings the Songs of Robert Burns was first released. It’s fair to say that the album wowed critics and fans, old and new, across the globe.
Three years ago, the album was re-released with seven extra tracks to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great man himself.
Now, that de luxe album is being re-released in digipack version.
Eddi, who is delighted that the album continues to be available, said this week: “Singing and arranging all those songs felt like I was flying home to somewhere I’d never lived but belonged.”
The album is available now from our shop and whilst we’re know you already have a well-played copy, we’re sure there’s someone you know yet to be converted to the magic of Eddi and Rabbie!

This is cool!

Had German High School students staying for a week and as drove them around, they all loved Eddi’s De Luxe Burns CD. I also bought the original shorter version but much scratched! so delighted at ‘new’, longer version. The Germans all loved it and needless to say I gave my de luxe copy to one little German girl who is taking it home as we speak. I will get another copy on the Calmac ferry for myself. Beauty is within grasp always makes me cry, as it played in the car to vet’s, the day I had to put my wee dog to sleep (inoperable cancer). I had to carry him into the vet as his tumour so large, (I’ll carry you if you fall). Just bought ticket for Glasgow Concert on 15 November. Can’t wait!
so glad they loved the Burns. Thanks for buying a ticket for Glasgow.
